Split a PDF or extract specific pages

You have a 40-page report and only need pages 12 to 15. Or a scanned bundle where the pages you want are scattered around. Either takes about a minute, and the document doesn't have to be uploaded anywhere.

Two ways to pick pages

Extract a page range

  1. Open pdf.ottercraft.dev and add the PDF.
  2. In the Split card, type the pages you want, say 12-15. The card shows how many pages match as you type, so a typo is easy to spot.
  3. Press Export range. A new file with just those pages is saved, named after the original with the page numbers added.

Extract a hand-picked selection

  1. Add the PDF and wait for the thumbnails.
  2. Tick the box on each page you want. Select all is there if it's quicker to select everything and untick a few.
  3. Press Export selected. Only the ticked pages go into the new file, in the order they appear on screen. Reorder them first if you like.

Cutting one PDF into several

Export a range, change the range, export again: 1-10, then 11-20, and so on. Each export is a separate file, and the original stays loaded, so there's nothing to re-add in between.

If you actually want to remove pages

Then skip the ranges. Use the delete button on the pages you don't want and press the main Download button. You get everything that's left.
